Air Sex World Championships

So we’re in the thick of Fantastic Fest here in AlamoLand, with the first secret screening coming up this evening and the big blow out Cave Party still threatening my current 30 hours of sobriety on Thursday night, but I just now found the video we had shot of the Opening Night ceremony, when I got to host from the Paramount stage.

For anyone not in the know, we kicked off the festival by renting out the Paramount for the first time ever, and bringing in Kevin Smith and his new film, ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO. After Kevin’s Q&A, though, we got to remain on the historic stage and play the final round in the first annual World Air Sex Competition. I got to stand in front of some big crowds thanks to Red Bull and their involvement with DFest up in Tulsa this year, but this Paramount hosting was the first time I got to really HOST something in front of more than the 400 people that fit downstairs at the Coolidge.

The fact that it was an Air Sex show just made it sweeter, because as much of an ass as I made out of myself, the performers were always there to one-up me.

Anyway, the Paramount may or may not ever let us back into their venerable building, but it was kind of worth it. Check it out:
